So, the Mane6 Fighting is Magic Cease & Desist happened, and we were all sad. Mane6 has been in touch with Hasbro, and it looks like there's no way Fighting is Magic will have ponies.But, the project is not dead in the water. Lauren Faust has become an official member of the Mane6 crew. She has offered to create new characters for the game.
First off, Lauren, you amazing person. Much love to you.
But, there are a few more things that this news tells me. For starters, the game won't be released for a while longer as they try to reshape the characters and backgrounds. I have heard that the new characters will be quadrupeds (My Little Alpaca, anyone?), which makes sense, because having to change the quadrupeds into bipeds would seem insanely hard to so. And since the music is fan-made, I doubt the music will have to change, so that's good.
Now, I'm not huge on fighting games to begin with, and odds are I'd play Fighting is Magic a little, just because of ponies. 10. Dead Island 2 (Yager, Xbox One/PS4/PC)
Never doubt the power of an entertaining trailer. I wasn't a huge fan of the first Dead Island, and I wasn't a huge fan of the fact that Dead Island 2's trailer was entirely CG. I probably should've done this a while ago, but now seems like a good time to say this. Odds are, my MLP video game cover making days are gone. What ONE EPISODE would you suggest to a non-brony?
I'm going to be making a video pretty soon where I talk about good first episodes to show a non-brony in order to convince the non-brony to watch the show. And I'm looking for some additional input. Oh well, there's still Super Smash Ponies. I want that game so bad, considering that I'm a huge fan of Super Smash Bros. And I think that, when the new Fighting is Magic incarnation is released, people will start making My Little Pony mods for the game. It's still win/win! Right?
